Local Motion

Pittsburgh's local style and fashion on display at Local Motion.
Local Style
Local Motion is an annual Fashion Show featuring local designers, models and stylists. More than 300 people gathered at the New Hazlett Theater in September 2007 to celebrate Pittsburgh's local fashion designers and talent. Steel City Media created this annual fashion show in 2003, using the reach of its City Paper to publicize the event. The CP turned to DH Creative in 2006 to develop a promotional website and design motion graphics for the event.

Video and projection screens during the event.
Motion On Screen
Part of the atmosphere included a series of video and projection displays promoting the show's sponsors. DH Creative designed a set of slide shows to display food and drink sponsors on video screens, an animated sequence for each of the title sponsors, as well as designer logos, on large projection screens positioned over the main bar area.
The Website
The client required a website that would be used as a promotional tool leading up to the event, provide a space for post-even wrap-up and documentation, and serve as a year-round source of information about the event for designers, stylists, models and sponsors. DH Creative followed the existing branding and color scheme to create an interface that is clean, bold and focuses on photography taken at the event.
